Children’s Medical Group recommends that all eligible patients receive a COVID-19 vaccine. We also encourage breastfeeding moms to receive vaccine. As of April 5th, people 16 years and older are eligible to receive the vaccine in Tennessee. At this time we are not administering the vaccine in our office, however; we recommend that patients get the vaccine as soon as they are able and not wait for CMG. As a reminder Pfizer is the only approved vaccine for those 16 years and over. Patients 18 years and over can get Moderna, Pfizer, or Johnson & Johnson. CMG recommends any of these approved vaccines.
